Well here we are, halfway through Term 3, MNS…hard to believe! A tricky start to the term to navigate, with lots of winter ills and chills in the air. Springtime is around the corner though!

Crazy PJ Day

What a fun day this was! Loved seeing our MNS children (and staff members!) dressed up in their fav PJs or onesies. What’s not to love about rolling out of bed, and turning up to class?! With your help, we raised $485. So thank you, MNS – a really wonderful day. A very big thank you to New World Miramar, who generously provided the ice blocks for our children to enjoy at the end of the day.

Book ‘n’ Bake Sale – Saturday 10th September, 10am-2pm in the MNS Hall

A reminder that our first ever second-hand “book n bake” sale is coming up THIS Saturday! A huge thank you to everyone who has donated so many lovely books to our fundraising cause – there are some cracker books up for grabs – we can’t do this without your donations, so THANK YOU!

The second part of our fab fundraiser is the BAKE SALE! And who can resist a yummy baked treat to accompany the book rummaging?! Please, if you have the time, we’d love for you to dust off your baking skills! All donations of baking big or small would be gratefully received.

Please drop off labelled treats:

· On Friday 9th September (day before event) – to the MNS office – between 8.30am-3pm; or

· On Saturday 10th September (the day of the event) – to the MNS Hall – between 8am-10am.

EFTPOS will be available, and cash is welcome too. Most books will be under $3, so LOTS of great bargains to be had this Saturday!

Discos

We haven’t forgotten about discos! We still very much hope to hold these, and are figuring out how to do so within the best possible framework, given Covid protocols etc. We are working on it, and will let you know when we can.

MNS Community Facebook Page

A reminder about our MNS Community Facebook page. If you search for “MNS Community” under groups, we will pop up. If you aren’t a member already, please become one! It isn’t the official MNS Facebook page, but an informal page used to communicate MNS events and fundraisers, for you to seek information when required, to locate lost items when they go missing (!) and generally to keep communication channels open. So jump on and become a member!

Another tricky term with lots of winter illnesses, striking both staff and students. Thank you MNS staff for all that you do for our children – both in the classroom, and behind the scenes. Thank you for showing up each day, and giving our children the best of yourselves. We all appreciate you, and all that you do!
