MNS Board of Trustees Update

Welcome back, MNS whānau! We hope you all had a chance to unwind and have fun over the summer break.

The Board of Trustees (BoT) met on Monday 27 th February, and were joined by a member of the school community as well as the Senior Leadership Team.

2023-2025 Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan was signed off at the meeting and will be submitted to the Ministry for Education. Huge thank you to the Senior Leadership Team and MNS whānau for you feedback and input.

Farewell, Bridgette!

Leaving MNS after 22 years, the Board would like to thank Bridgette for her massive contribution to the school

and we wish her all the best for the personal projects and family time ahead.

BoT at the Bake Sale this Friday

We’d like to raise awareness of Board activities and policy review. We’d love to hear your thoughts and comments – feel free to come chat with Board members at this Friday’s after-school bake sale. We’ll also be asking for some feedback about the idea of building a new noticeboard to help make school information more accessible for everyone – hope to see you there!

Other key points from the BoT meeting

* MNS staff will continue to have professional development in Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), to keep enhancing the strengths-based and restorative approach to learning and behaviour at the school.

* The budget is undergoing its final review before being signed off for the financial year ahead.

The next Board of Trustees meeting will be Monday 3 rd April. As always, anyone from the school community can join at the start of Board meeting to share a view on school policy, strategy, or governance.
