Rimu

Year 1 and 2

Rimu is where most students begin their Miramar North School journey. We aim to create a warm, nurturing, environment, to make transitions to school and the first years happy and successful. Our students are curious and enthusiastic learners, who are given many opportunities to explore, create and discover while building their social skills and resilience.

Nurture the seed and it will blossom.

Kōwhai

Year 3 and 4

Year 3 and 4 Children in Rooms 1 | Tīeke, 2 | Pūkeko, 3 | Weka and 4 | Kākāpō.

In Kōwhai we aim to grow resilient, lifelong learners who are curious about the world around them. The children continue developing their social skills and are starting to think more critically about their learning.

Our tamariki are eager to learn and are problem solvers. As they build on their sense of self, we aim for our children to extend their ability to work independently as well as learn alongside their peers.

Pōhutukawa

Year 5 and 6

In Pōhutukawa we are growing students who are curious, responsible, flexible, creative, problem solvers, and who show persistence. Our aim is to give the students as many different experiences and opportunities as we can, such as leadership roles, school responsibilities and attending camp.
