This term in sport at MNS we have made a fantastic start with a truly magnificent Athletics Day. We have been holding trials since term three and working hard to select our Y4-6 Eastern Zone team, so it was great to see it all culminate in a celebration in the sun this week. In fact, it felt a bit like summer! We have tried hard to develop a culture of ‘competing against your own personal best’ and we saw many tamariki strive to push themselves in all the events. Ka rawe! It was also brilliant to see the tuakana/teina on display in the afternoon with Pōhutukawa supporting Rimu. We had many positive comments and the tone of the day felt like it met what we were trying to achieve.

We also have touch, netball and floorball running this term – once again a massive thanks to all those parents helping out and good luck to you all; have fun!
