We have had a great start to the winter seasons in sport.In cross country we had some great success with many of our Eastern Zone team qualifying for the Inter Zone event.Congratulations to all our team and special mention to our top 10 finishers on the day:Year 4 Girls: Sadie Birch (2nd) Penny McHardy (3rd) and Alice Poynton (4th)Year 4 Boys: Sam Burttrum (4th)Year 6 Girls: Peyton Corkin (1st), Harriet McHardy (3rd), and Ava Shearman-York (5th)We might be a small school but we definitely show our commitment to fitness with these fantastic results!Basketball has started up at Akau Tangi Sports Centre with MNS having two teams in the popular Kids Hoop League.We also have a team in the Motu Kairangi netball competition – particular mention goes out to this team as the weather to start the season has been pretty rough at times!
